Windstone, inspired by the location, the setting… and a tree.

The commissioned artwork for the logo of Windstone, is a Japanese maple. The story behind the logo illustrates the philosophy that led to the creation of Windstone.

A Japanese maple, a specimen of impressive size and symmetry, stood near the community entrance.

Over 80 years old, and possessing a rare, sublime natural beauty, the maple, had to be moved... or destroyed.

The majesty and beauty of this “heritage” tree made the decision easy. The tree would be saved.

Arborists were consulted. The area’s foremost experts at tree relocation were hired.

With loving care, the Japanese maple was removed, the root ball wrapped for protection. The tree was hoisted by crane onto a flatbed and secured for the move.

A semi-truck couldn’t pull the load.

Heavy machinery had to be used to pull the semi, the flat-bed and the tree, up the hill.

The maple was carefully hoisted into place, the transplant complete.

Thanks to the care and expertise of those involved, and of course Mother Nature, the tree is flourishing and now serves as the centerpiece in the one-of-a-kind, community park.

In addition to the Japanese maple, over a dozen mature trees were relocated from their original locations on the property and carefully placed throughout the neighborhood to enhance the setting. Wetlands and sensitive areas were protected, providing open space and buffers.

This vision and commitment to beauty, character and quality is evident throughout Windstone.

A striking Bluestone entry monument welcomes and impresses.

A one of a kind community park crowns the hillside, its expanse of manicured lawn & picnic areas, enormous Cascade Granite boulders, lush plantings and a soothing botanical waterfall accenting the Japanese maple, beckons homeowners to pause, relax and enjoy the serenity that exemplifies life at Windstone.

The lifestyle at Windstone, like the collection of builders and architectural design, is diverse – hike the Cougar Mountain trail or the mall at Bellevue Square. Relax in the community park or golf at nearby Golf Club at Newcastle. Ski on Lake Washington, Lake Sammamish or the slopes of Snoqualmie Pass, or simply relax at home.

The recreation and entertainment opportunities are unlimited. The neighborhood’s location, setting and new home builder’s, unsurpassed.

Windstone. Location. Setting. Luxury Homes.
